If your students overuse words such as good, went, nice, bad, really, a lot, fun, etc, this exercise will help them recognize their use of these weak words and have alternatives on hand.

Extra:Post a Dead Words gravestone on the wall and every couple of weeks add another word which has 'died' and will be disallowed in classroom writing from that point on (without teacher permission)!
